Tunis takes over Berlin. For one night, its artists, rhythms and energy move to the center of the city.
Paris-based platform HESS and Dar Jamila Productions come together at Festsaal Kreuzberg to present a new generation of Tunisian artists. Tunisian Takeover brings together rap, live instrumentation, reggae and club culture, a snapshot of a scene that continues to grow, evolve and travel far beyond its borders.

More than a concert, Tunisian Takeover is a moment where artists who rarely share the same stage come together and For a few hours, Berlin moves to a different rhythm.

Outside, Berlin continues its indifferent night.
Inside, the energy of somewhere else takes over.

Gultrah Sound System
Gultrah Sound System is one of the emblematic voices of Tunisia’s alternative music scene, active since the mid-2000s and closely linked to the cultural energy that surrounded the revolution. Blending reggae roots with Afro grooves, rock textures and North African rhythmic sensibilities, the band built a reputation for politically conscious lyrics and powerful live performances. Their concerts carry both the spirit of resistance and celebration, a collective, groove-heavy sound that moves between message, trance and pure dancefloor release.

4lfa
4lfa is a rising voice of Tunisian rap, known for sharp flows, raw storytelling and an uncompromising stage presence. Rooted in street realism and contemporary hip-hop aesthetics, his music captures the tensions, ambitions and contradictions of youth in today’s Tunisia. On stage, 4lfa brings high intensity and direct connection with the crowd, delivering performances that feel urgent, energetic and deeply grounded in the culture that shaped him.

Youstazz
Youstazz is a Tunisian hip-hop DJ and producer whose sets move naturally between rap, beats and club energy. With a strong sense for rhythm and crowd dynamics, he builds momentum step by step, mixing heavy bass, sharp transitions and familiar hip-hop textures with more electronic sounds. His presence behind the decks feels direct and instinctive, keeping the dancefloor engaged while pushing the night into faster, more intense territory.

Emp1re
Emp1re represents a more shadowy, introspective side of Tunisia’s contemporary rap scene. His sound leans into moody trap textures, melodic hooks and layered production, creating a universe that feels cinematic and emotionally charged. Rather than pure confrontation, his performances build atmosphere. drawing the crowd into a hypnotic flow of tension, release and late-night intensity. Emp1re’s live presence is controlled yet powerful, shaping a sonic journey that balances vulnerability with striking impact.

saHHara

saHHara is a Berlin-based collective rooted in culture, music, and community. Formed by a group of friends in early 2023, we came together to create a space that reflects our identities and connects our MENA heritage with Berlin’s diverse music and cultural scene. Our mission is to uplift diasporic voices - especially from the Maghreb - and build community through shared experiences. We host events in clubs and open-air spaces, as well as gatherings around food, fashion, art, and mutual support. saHHara isn’t about profit or hype. We aim to grow a scene that is more inclusive, diverse, and joyful - grounded in where we come from and where we are now.
