ABOUT İÇ İÇE:

İÇ İÇE – "intertwined" or "interwoven" in Turkish – is the first and only festival in Germany dedicated to new Anatolian music and post-migrant perspectives.

The Anatolian region has always been a melting pot of diverse cultural currents and musical traditions. Since the 1960s, these have evolved in Germany, shaping our everyday life, nightlife, and pop culture – from underground to mainstream.

İÇ İÇE showcases artists who reinterpret cultural fragments of their identities and claim space in the societies they inhabit. Experience an exciting program of music, performances, dance, workshops, readings, and discussion panels – multilingual, polyphonic, and genre-crossing.

Founded and artistically directed by Melissa Kolukisagil, İÇ İÇE brings together a mostly queer and migrantized team. We create spaces for celebration, empowerment, and connection through music and art – beyond the expectations of dominant society.
